FATE

Question!:

What role has FATE played in William Shakespeare's tragedy, Romeo and Juliet?

Fate plays roles in many ways in Shakespeare's' tragedy, Romeo and Juliet. When Romeo and Benvolio are just randomly on the streets, one of the Capulet's servants cannot read, so Romeo helps him with the party list, and then gets invited to the masked ball. When Romeo goes to the Capulet masked ball, he knows his love Rosaline will be there. Little did he know, he will fall in love that night. He meets Juliet Capulet, but he does not know that she is his enemy. A Capulet. The two ancient rivals share two kisses between each other. That is a major role of fate.

Also, I believe fate played a part whenever Romeo and Juliet are presenting their soliloquies, Juliet is talking about Romeo, and Romeo is talking about Juliet, but they cannot hear each other. Then suddenly Romeo can hear Juliet on her balcony, and wonders if he should speak again. Then when the night almost comes to an end, Romeo and Juliet have no clue that the next day they will be a married couple.

When Romeo is banished from Verona Juliet does not know how she will live. She is forced to marry County Paris, and goes to Friar Laurence for a plan. She takes his sleeping potion and sleeps for 48 hours, waiting for Romeo to come save her. When the Friar sends the letter to Romeo it does not get to him in time for him him to know that Juliet is not dead. I believe this is fate because in Shakepeare's plays the final scene is always the resolution, and someone is bound to die. In this case both Romeo and Juliet die together. Romeo going to see Juliet dead, then killing himself, then Juliet waking up to find Romeo dead.

Verona, Italy- 15th Century

Verona, Italy was the setting of the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Verona is one of the richest cities in northern Italy in Roman remains. It was a town of Renaissance, romance, and ancient monuments. Sites such as the Roman amphitheater, the Bell Tower, and Juliet's balcony are viewed daily by tourists. They say that usually people who visit Verona always visit Juliet's Home or Balcony Verona is a small enough city that you can get around site seeing without taking a bus, or car.

Verona became a Roman possession in 89 BC. Then from 1490 to 1517, the city was in control by Emperor Maximilian I. Verona was conquered by Venice, and remained to the Venetians till the overthrow of the republic by Napoleon in 1797. It was captured by the Goths after the fall of the Roman Empire.

The religion of most of the people who live in Verona is Roman Catholic. It didn't exactly state that was the religion, but I inferred that it was because the text in the website used Cathedrals, and they were Romans.

Insanity: Doing something the same way over and over again and expecting different results.

Insanity is when you are doing something over and over again and it's driving you crazy. Sometimes when I feel like I'm going insane i freak out! Things drive me insane easily sometimes.
My idea of insanity is playing the Nintendo Wii. I played one level on Super Mario Galaxy like 20 times in a row and i just kept on thinking that I would win but the one level was so hard, but I did it anyways! I drove myself insane by trying to beat it. It seemed so impossible, so i decided I shouldn't stress myself out by trying over and over and over again.
Other things like going on classroll, I constantly check it thinking something will change, and i just keep going on thinking something will be different.
Also I am constantly looking at the clock like every two seconds thinking that the time will change every time I look at it. Things like that drive me crazy!

Romeo and Juliet 2

Scene iii(3)

Lady Capulet: Hey, where is my daughter. I need to see her.

Nurse: I have no idea where she is! Juliet where are you?!

Juliet: I'm here, who's calling me.

Nurse: Your mom is.

Juliet: Oh, i'm here. What do you want?

Lady Capulet: Nurse, please leave us alone. I need to tell my daughter something, and you don't need to hear it. You shouldn't know her age, Mrs. Nosey.

Nurse: I already know, loser.

Lady Capulet: Well you obviously don't know, Mrs. Know It All! She's not fourteen!!

Nurse: Well I bet she is, and i won't be mad about it. WHen is the Summer Harvest?

Lady Capulet: In 2 weeks and some days.

Nurse: Susan and her are the same age, and that night she will be 14.

Lady Capulet: That's enough. I value my own opinion.

Nurse: Well I will laugh in your face.

Juliet: Ok, shut up.

Nurse: Well, I hope that I live to see you married, because you are the cutiest baby i've ever nursed!

Lady Capulet: Well I was going to talk to her about getting married. Juliet, how do you feel about getting married.

Juliet: It's an honor to have, and I don't think i'm ready for it.

Nurse: Yes, it is an honor. I'd say you are catching on wiseone.

Lady Capulet: Well you should start thinking about marriage. People younger than you are already mothers. You are now a maid. The handsome man, Paris is in love with you.

Nurse: Paris is perfect!

Lady Capulet: There's no one better then him. He's a stud. :]

Nurse: She's right.

Lady Capulet: So do you think you are interested in him? If you were with him, you would possess everything he has. You wouldn't lose anything!

Nurse: You could have baby!

Lady Capulet: So could you fall in love with him?

Juliet: Well i'll meet him, but if I don't like him, i'm not marrying him!

Servingman: Heyy, people are here, and dinner is ready. Come with me.

Lady Capulet: We are coming, man. Juliet they are waiting!

Nurse: Go have fun!

Fort Cherry

I feel that Fort Cherry does give us a good head start for college, and later in life as a 21st century working professional. They have advanced courses and classes for people that want to strive to be better. As an example, I am in Advanced English because I felt that I could go to a higher level in English. Also they have programs like Strive, where people who are smarter than what grade they are in are chosen to go to. Students in my grade are already in Pre-Calcalous and Trig. They are really smart.
